The blend named for the trail where Trailhead was born
The West Coast Trail is more than a hike. It's where Trailhead Coffee got its name.
On a backpacking trip with my family, sitting on a log at sunset overlooking the Pacific, my son looked at the view and said: "You should start a coffee company called Trailhead." He was fourteen. His sister was eleven. We were a few days into the trail, tired in a good way, watching the light go.
This blend is named for that moment, and for the trail itself.
In the cup
Rich chocolate and toasted nuts form the foundation, rounded by smooth caramel sweetness and lifted with a gentle citrus brightness.
It's a grounded, versatile coffee with enough depth to stand on its own, and enough balance to enjoy any way you brew it. On the trail. At work. At home.
The blend
West Coast Trail brings together coffees chosen for structure, sweetness, and balance. Selected to perform across brew methods and moments.
Each component plays a role: chocolate and toasted nut depth for body and comfort, caramel sweetness for smoothness, and a touch of citrus to keep the cup clean and alive. Roasted to a medium profile, the blend delivers richness without heaviness and brightness without sharpness.
A dependable cup, designed to adapt.
The trail
The West Coast Trail runs along the Pacific edge of Vancouver Island. Towering forests, shifting tides, long beach walks, ladders, mud, and moments of quiet reflection between the challenges.
Having hiked it more than once, the lesson is always the same. Adventure is built on balance. Effort and reward. Grit and beauty. Movement and pause.
West Coast Trail is about showing up, moving forward, and appreciating where you are, one step, one cup at a time.
